DadKit (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the DadKit mobile application and website. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using DadKit, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information: the email address you use to register, and any name you choose to add to your profile.
Pregnancy and family data you enter: due date, partner and baby names, preferences, symptom logs, appointment notes, saved baby names, kick and contraction sessions, journal entries, and your go-bag checklist.
Usage data: anonymous analytics such as which screens are opened and buttons tapped, used to improve the app. We do not sell your data.
2. How we use your information
To display your pregnancy timeline, daily feed, and tools, and to sync your data across your devices when you sign in.
To send optional reminders you enable, such as appointment follow-ups.
To diagnose bugs, prevent abuse, and improve the product.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
We do not share your pregnancy or health data with advertisers.
DadKit is not a medical provider. Nothing in the app is medical advice, it is general information to help you follow the pregnancy and early fatherhood.
4. Service providers
We use a small number of third-party services to operate DadKit, including infrastructure and hosting (Base44), subscription and payment management (RevenueCat, and Apple's App Store for the payment itself), and transactional email (Resend). These providers process data only as needed to provide their service to us and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
5. Pregnancy loss support
If you use DadKit's loss support feature, we do not run analytics on that usage, and we permanently suppress upgrade prompts and marketing for accounts that have used it. We treat this data with additional care and do not use it for any purpose beyond providing the support content itself.
6. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure servers and transmitted over encrypted connections. Each user's records are isolated so only you (and our admins, as needed for support) can access your data.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.
7. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you stop using DadKit without deleting your account, we may retain your data for a reasonable period in case you return, and will delete it upon request at any time as described below.
8. Calendar integration
If you connect Google Calendar, DadKit can create and update prenatal appointment events on your behalf. Calendar access is granted through Google's OAuth and can be revoked at any time from your Google account or in the app's settings.
9. Your choices
You can edit or delete your profile, logs, and saved data at any time within the app.
You can request export of your data or full account deletion by contacting us. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
10. California and other privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of that information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Residents of other jurisdictions with similar privacy laws may have comparable rights; contact us and we will address your request.
11. Children
DadKit is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to support@dadkit.app. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
